- 1987
- Mutual Telecom Services Inc. (MTS) opens for business.
- 1990
- MTS capabilities expand to include OSP and turnkey solutions.
- 1992
- MTS is awarded the 5-year Long Term Life Cycle Support (LTLCS) contract with GTE.
- 1994
- MTS is awarded first major prime contract supporting the Base Telecommunications System (BTS) for the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ.
- 1995
- Revenues exceed $1 million for the first time (the sky is the limit).
- 1997
- With GTE, MTS is awarded the 5-year follow-on LTLCS contract.
- 1999
- Steve Clancy joins MTS as President (becomes President & CEO in 2002).
- 2003
- MTS awarded OMNIBUS contract with Milcom (and follow-on CTSS I and CTSS II contracts with Lockheed Martin), work continues in theatre today.
- 2007
- MTS awarded the operations and maintenance contract for the Social Security Administration (SSA) Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD.
- 2008
- MTS becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Black Box Corporation. The purchase of MTS by Black Box is the culmination of years spent developing a strong partnership and promises to provide further growth opportunities for the future. Also, MTS is named as a prime contractor on SeaPort-e.
- 2009
- MTS is named as a prime contractor on Southwest Asia Blanket Purchase Agreement (SWA BPA).
